2001 Florida

The trip of a life time!

Our intent was to utilize the Cessna Cardinal to sightsee sights which we have not seen before, and from the air.

The major destinations included San Antonio (Texas), the Texas Shore line, New Orleans and Bourbon Street, St. Petersburg (Florida) and the Salvador Dali Museum, Key West and Hemingway's home, Miami and the "Art Deco" South Beach, the "Kennedy Space Center", St. Augustine (Florida), Hilton Head (South Carolina), Kitty Hawk (North Carolina), Memphis and "Graceland", Santa Fe (New Mexico) and finally Sedona (Arizona).  These are only the  high points of the trip!  There were many other interesting sights.

One of the goals of the trip was to travel approximately 2,600 miles over the beaches of the east coast (between the altitudes of 50 and 1,200 feet).  We succeeded!  The entire trip was over 8,000 air miles.
